Care & Installation for Copper Sinks

Gentle soap and water will maintain the sink. Because the patina finish is somewhat fragile, no abrasives or harsh chemicals should be used. Avoid the use of antibacterial soap, as it also has the tendency to strip the patina. The nature of copper allows the sink to scratch and discolor, however this living finish beautifies the product and adds to the uniqueness. Your sink will arrive waxed with the high grade furniture paste wax. This wax will wear off over time and a new coat of a paste wax should be applied. This will help lessen the patina ageing process. Most any brand of furniture, floor or car wax is acceptable. For light areas of your sink, dark brown KIWI brand shoe polish will also help restore the sink's finish.
